The Invention of the Strengite Process

The Strengite Process was invented by David Sevier. He invented the Strengite Process to address the large amounts water that closed loop cleaning uses and the pollution that it causes. He was awarded a patent for the Strengite Process in 2021.

David Sevier is a water treatment chemist who has been developing and writing water treatment product lines since 1984.

Why We Named the Company Strengite

Lots of people ask why the company is named Strengite. It is an unusual name but for us, it make perfect sense. When the Strengite Process precipitates out soluble iron, iron phosphate is formed. Strengite is one of the mineral forms of iron phosphate with the formula: FePO4 · 2H2O. The other more widely formed iron phosphate mineral is Vivianite (Fe2+Fe2+2(PO4)2·8H2O).

More typically, the Strengite Process produces Vivianite. This can sometimes be seen within settled sediment collected during the precipitation phase of the Strengite Process.
